Reading Roots Macpherson

As part of my Youth Expedition Project (YEP) leadership responsibilities, I volunteered at Reading Roots MacPherson, an organization dedicated to supporting students from lower-income backgrounds with their English proficiency. Each two-hour session was structured to maximize learning: the first hour involved engaging group activities designed to build confidence and teamwork, while the second hour focused on individualized attention through one-on-one sessions. During these sessions, I assisted students with reading comprehension and worked through assessment book exercises, helping to reinforce their understanding and improve their academic performance.
